“Once you choose hope, anything’s possible.”

Summertime in New Jersey – our thoughts go to swimming at the shore, family barbeques and vacations!
After enduring some challenging times, we are eager to put the past behind us and start doing things that bring us joy. And while we deserve happiness, we cannot forget some of us are still struggling.
With one-third of New Jersey households residing in rental properties, think about this:
- During the pandemic, landlords in NJ were filing as many as 12,600 evictions a month.
- The eviction moratorium ended January 1 and more than 200,000 evictions have been filed.
- Renters who have an eviction record face a hard time finding landlords who will rent to them.
We are now receiving over 100 calls per day from those who are in danger of being evicted. We help everyone who calls, and if you or someone you know needs assistance, please call (732) 204-6510.
Imagine the anxiety weighing on someone facing homelessness. Last year, our Hope & Healing program provided crisis counseling to 47,900 people in need. Today, the staff works with Housing Services and Parish Services, offering reassurance that support is on the way. This combination of mental health services and rental assistance is keeping families together with a roof over their heads.
In 2020, Hope & Healing began with funding from SAMHSA and FEMA. In 2021, we were fortunate to receive a personal bequest and a grant from the Ocean County Office of Senior Services to extend the program.
Our mission to serve the most vulnerable among us could not happen without You!
With my sincere gratitude,
