“As a community-based bank that serves businesses and individuals in Central New Jersey, we appreciate the critical work that Catholic Charities has been doing for more than 100 years to support those impacted by trauma and adversity,” said Martin Hernandez, Vice President of Small Business Lending for Customers Bank in Hamilton, New Jersey. “We hope that our support and partnership will help Catholic Charities continue their mission to help those most in need in our communities.”

Hernandez has served on the Board of Trustees of Catholic Charities for six years and joined the agency’s Mercer County Board six months ago. In gratefully acknowledging the gift, Catholic Charities’ Executive Director Marlene Laó-Collins said, “Without the compassionate support of community business people such as Martin Hernandez, Catholic Charities would not be able to advance our mission of helping individuals and families overcome adversity.” The gift was the most recent contribution to the agency’s Circle of Friends Annual Campaign.
