Innovative Addiction Recovery Program for Pregnant Women and New Moms Partners Catholic Charities with Capital Health

Capital Health, greater Mercer County’s Regional Perinatal Center (RPC), has brought together long-established partners, including Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, to participate in an innovative program to provide addiction recovery services to pregnant women and new mothers. The program, For My Baby and Me, made available through a grant from the New Jersey Department of Health, utilizes the collaborative expertise of the program partners to provide integrated opioid treatment services. The goal of the program is to promote long-term addiction recovery through medication assisted treatment and intensive outpatient recovery treatment, access to sober living arrangements, basic needs, case management, child care, legal services and educational and employment readiness coaching. In addition to Catholic Charities, program partners include Rescue Mission of Trenton, HomeFront, Trenton Health Team and Henry J. Austin Health Center.
