Catholic Charities hosts COVID-19 vaccine clinic

Nurses and volunteers from the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey stopped by our Linkages program in Tinton Falls this week to administer COVID-19 vaccines to the families, staff and volunteers there, as well as other members of the community.

The outreach was part of an effort to provide the vaccine to underserved groups, including people experiencing homelessness. Linkages is apartment-style transitional housing for families and individuals exiting homelessness in Monmouth County.

To date, just over 3 million people in New Jersey have had at least one dose of the vaccine, representing about 24 percent of the state’s population, according to the CDC.
