Mission
Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, inspired by the Scriptures
as reflected in Catholic Social Teaching, alleviates human suffering and improves the quality of life of individuals and families,
especially the poor and vulnerable, through service, advocacy and community
building.

Every day, Catholic Charities, Diocese
of Trenton, opens its doors to some of the most vulnerable members
of our community:

- Those suffering from physical or sexual abuse
- Women facing crisis pregnancies
- The elderly
- Those struggling with addictions to alcohol or drugs
- People suffering with AIDS or HIV infection
- Children in need of a family or home
- Those in need of counseling
People from all backgrounds, all religions, and all ethnicities
can find solace through 58 programs throughout Burlington, Mercer,
Monmouth, and Ocean Counties.
Advocacy
Every action we take is in support of legislation
that will have a direct and positive impact on those we serve. For information
about advocacy actions in the recent past as well as some upcoming issues we
will be monitoring, visit to our Advocacy section. Some priority issues
include:
- Homelessness Prevention
- Hunger Relief/Food Security
- Immigration Reform
- Improving Children’s Welfare
- Improving Access to Healthcare
- Increasing Awareness of Domestic Abuse
- Increasing Access to Necessary Services for the Mentally Ill and
Disabled
Community Building
Every
person can make a difference—employees,
volunteers, and consumers of our services—are all called
to do what they can to positively impact another’s life.
One way to do this is by strengthening our communities, as
is being done at El Centro in Trenton and Ocean Immigration
Support Services in Lakewood.
Every day, every action, every person— Renewing
Lives, Restoring Hope
