Health Care

Our Position:

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton in agreement with Catholic Charities USA and Catholic social teaching, believes that health care is a fundamental issue of human life and dignity. During this precarious economic season, we believe access to quality health care is crucial, especially for the millions of Americans without health care. Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton advocates for a health care system which ensures that everyone has access to the services they need, especially those who are most vulnerable.

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton is committed to alleviating human suffering and improving the quality of life for our consumers and the vulnerable in our nation.

Join us in advocating for health care reform which expands and strengthens Medicaid, caps of pocket costs, addresses health disparities and focuses on preventative measures.

 What's Happening:

Catholic Health Association reaffirms long-standing commitment to reform health care but waits to endorse any specific bill

Catholic Charities USA has adopted the Catholic Health Association's Vision for U.S. health Care, and is therefore committed to health care reform but not yet in support of a specific bill. The Association is working in its own words to, "bring about health reform that respects the life and dignity of every person."
