Climate Change

Our Position:

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton echoes the position of CCUSA: "The poor and economically insecure likely contribute the least to the current energy and climate crisis. However, they will suffer both the short and long-term consequences from climate change. Someone must be the voice...to advance the issues of the poor and marginalized not only in the debate, but in the benefits for remediation and mitigation." Therefore we aim to bring the needs of the most vulnerable to the center of any climate change legislation, policy and discussion.

Project Porchlight is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The Project empowers people to believe that simple actions matter and to make smart choices that protect the environment. The current focus of the Project is distributing CFL light bulbs to every household in America.
