Providence House Domestic Violence Services (PHDVS) of Catholic Charities provides comprehensive services for victims of domestic abuse and their children free of charge at outreach offices and emergency safehouses in Burlington and Ocean Counties. Providence House Domestic Violence Services assists victims of domestic abuse and their children with an array of services that include: emergency shelter, a 24 hour hotline, counseling services, a comprehensive children’s program, a parenting support group and a program specifically designed to assist victims age 50 and older. These services are offered at no cost to individuals and are invaluable to victims and their children who are struggling to break free from the cycle of violence in their homes.
These free and confidential services for victims of domestic violence rely upon the generosity of donors and volunteers. Being a part of our team is not only rewarding but life-changing. Help us to end the cycle of violence in our community today.
Providence House is one of the oldest and most comprehensive domestic violence providers in New Jersey and is accredited through the national Council on Accreditation. In Burlington County, PHDVS has been offering services for more than 30 years and for more than 25 in Ocean County.

Mother's Day Donations
The mothers we are privileged to serve at Providence House Domestic Violence Services (PHDVS) of Catholic Charities seek to provide a safe and loving home for their children. PHDVS works diligently to provide them with the tools required to accomplish this goal. We believe that the mothers with whom we work deserve to be recognized for their efforts on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11, 2014.
Please consider making a donation or donating a special gift to make Mother’s Day special for all the mothers we help at PHDVS.

The Gift Auction is the most important fundraiser of the year for Providence House Domestic Violence Services (PHDVS) of Catholic Charities in Ocean County.
There are several ways for you to participate in this event: By attending the event, by becoming an event sponsor and by donating auction items or purchasing a raffle ticket.
Over 750 people are expected to attend the Gift Auction. All proceeds generated from the event help provide free and confidential services to domestic abuse victims and their children. (Your contribution is tax deductible as permitted by the IRS).

2013 Gift Auction Raises More than $63,500!
Providence House Domestic Violence Services of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, held its thirteenth annual Gift Auction on Friday, June 7, 2013 at Georgian Court University. As in years past, tickets to this year’s event sold out well in advance, with more than 700 people in attendance. Over $63,500 was raised, which will benefit victims of domestic violence and their children.
“The event continues to be a tremendous success due to the unwavering and generous support of the community,” said Jean Metz, Providence House director. “On behalf of the staff and families assisted by Providence House, I extend sincere gratitude to all of the wonderful businesses and individuals who donated items for the Gift Auction, all the volunteers who assisted in making the event successful, as well as to all those in attendance.”
More than 400 gift baskets were raffled off with prizes ranging from gift certificates to local restaurants to an Apple iPad. The event also featured three 50/50 cash raffle prizes and two winners yielded over $1,600 each.
