Providence House Domestic Violence Services (PHDVS) of Catholic Charities provides comprehensive services for victims of domestic abuse and their children free of charge at outreach offices and emergency safehouses in Burlington and Ocean Counties. Providence House Domestic Violence Services assists victims of domestic abuse and their children with an array of services that include: emergency shelter, a 24 hour hotline, counseling services, a comprehensive children’s program, a parenting support group and a program specifically designed to assist victims age 50 and older. These services are offered at no cost to individuals and are invaluable to victims and their children who are struggling to break free from the cycle of violence in their homes.
These free and confidential services for victims of domestic violence rely upon the generosity of donors and volunteers. Being a part of our team is not only rewarding but life-changing. Help us to end the cycle of violence in our community today.
Providence House is one of the oldest and most comprehensive domestic violence providers in New Jersey and is accredited through the national Council on Accreditation. In Burlington County, PHDVS has been offering services for more than 30 years and for more than 25 in Ocean County.

20th ANNUAL TASTE OF BURLINGTON COUNTY
The 20th Annual Taste of Burlington County raised $50,570 to benefit Providence House Domestic Violence Services of Catholic Charities. The event, which featured a gift auction of more than 120 baskets and food tastings by more than 20 local restaurants, was attended by nearly 450 guests.
Many thanks to the event sponsors, donors, volunteers and planning committee members who helped make the night a huge success. And a special thanks to Jennifer Lynn DeCillis, Miss New Jersey United States 2014 for attending and emceeing the gift auction portion of the event.

Providence House Domestic Violence Services of Catholic Charities graciously accepts donations to help maintain its emergency Safe House and provide other needed supplies for residents.
For a listing of items currently in need in both Burlington and Ocean Counties and drop-off locations, click on the flier at left.
Providence House is also currently collecting non-perishable food items and gift cards for its annual Thanksigivng Food Drive. Supplies are needed to help provide meals to families living in both county emergency Safe Houses. We are also accepting donations to our Holiday Wish List. Interested in volunteering?
Providence House Domestic Violence Services of Catholic Charities is currently in need of volunteers. Many opportunities are available, such as:
- assisting with the our major fundraiser events
- Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT) Member
- child care
- yard work
- donation management
- community affairs
- group donation drives
- group Days of Caring
Many of these volunteer opportunities are located at our Outreach/Counseling Centers which are located in Delran and Whiting, NJ. Volunteering can be very rewarding, fun and a great way to make new friends.
