Providence House Domestic Violence Services(PHDVS) of Catholic Charities provides comprehensive services for victims of domestic abuse and their children free of charge at outreach offices and emergency safehouses in Burlington and Ocean Counties. Providence House Domestic Violence Services assists victims of domestic abuse and their children with an array of services that include: emergency shelter, a 24 hour hotline, counseling services, a comprehensive children’s program, a parenting support group and a program specifically designed to assist victims age 50 and older. These services are offered at no cost to individuals and are invaluable to victims and their children who are struggling to break free from the cycle of violence in their homes.
These free and confidential services for victims of domestic violence rely upon the generosity of donors and volunteers. Being a part of our team is not only rewarding but life-changing. Help us to end the cycle of violence in our community today.
Providence House is one of the oldest and most comprehensive domestic violence providers in New Jersey and is accredited through the national Council on Accreditation. In Burlington County, PHDVS has been offering services for more than 30 years and for more than 25 in Ocean County.

Seeking Volunteers for the 'Taste of Burlington County' Event Committee
Providence House Domestic Violence Services in Burlington County is currently seeking volunteers who are interested in sitting on the 'Taste of Burlington County' Event Committee, helping to solicit gifts for the auction and secure sponsorships. We are also in need of evening childcare and transportation volunteers. Please call Rachel Johnston at (856)-824-0599 for more information.
Providence House Domestic Violence Services in Ocean County is in Need of Volunteers. Opportunities available include assisting with the annual gift auction, yard work, maintenance, and help with donation pick ups are also needed. Volunteers Needed on Domestic Violence Response Teams
In conjunction with Ocean County police departments PHDVS is also looking for individuals to volunteer on domestic violence response teams. These teams of trained volunteers respond to the police station to talk to victims immediately following an incident of abuse. Admission tickets to the event on sale with a $15 donation starting March 1st until sold out!
All proceeds directly benefit free and confidential services to assist victims and their children of domestic abuse.
